Clark Eriksson and Dart Energy multi-million pound deal a boost for Falkirk employment
Clark Eriksson, Project Management and Design House based in Williamson Street, Falkirk, is pleased to announce the award of a contract by Dart Energy (Forth Valley) Limited, for the full engineering design of their Coal Bed Methane project in Airth, Central Scotland. The Airth project requires investment in excess of £100 million and was awarded to Clark Eriksson after a technical evaluation and competitive bid process earlier in 2012. This project award secures employment of 15 Engineering and Design personnel, in Clark Eriksson’s Head Office in Falkirk. It also puts Clark Eriksson in a good position to be considered for additional work to provide Construction and Commissioning Support later in the project cycle.
Dart Energy, based in Stirling, produces sufficient electricity for around 500-700 homes from its Airth production site, and its planning application for 14 well sites is currently going through the planning stage at both Falkirk and Stirling Councils.
Airth Development Manager for Dart, Callum Scott said “Further to a formal tendering and competency based evaluation process, we awarded the contract for the Detailed Engineering and Design delivery to Clark Eriksson Associates because of their track record in delivering comparable engineering solutions whilst satisfying our desire to maximize investment in the local area and communities close to our operations wherever possible”
Clark Eriksson Director, Wallace Aitken said “Clark Eriksson is proud to be working with Dart Energy on this exciting new project to supply new sources of domestic natural gas to the National Gas Network, we hope that this will be the start of a long term relationship between Dart Energy and Clark Eriksson”.
