Continual Training, Monitoring and Appraisal of all Engineering Employees
Engenda has a strong commitment to improving the quality of its staff and labour by continual monitoring and appraisal of individual performances. We are aware of the shortage of skilled personnel in the engineering sector and the problem with the incumbent ageing workforce. By careful and diligent appraisal we identify areas where we can improve workers core skills and abilities and select appropriate training to suit their needs.
Engenda has its own Competency and Safety Training Academy (CoaST Academy) which delivers national accreditations and bespoke training courses. We work closely with the ECITB and have trainers accredited to the ECITB delivering a range of their recognised industrial competency courses. The training centre is equipped with modern bespoke facilities which offer both a pleasant yet challenging environment to undertake personal improvement accreditations.
A selection of the mainstream training delivered by the Engenda training centre:
- Joint Integrity
- Bursting Disc
- Working at Height
- Rigging and Slinging
- Abrasive Wheels
- Confined Space Entry
The Engenda CoaST Academy also delivers training for a broader and more diverse range of competencies which are complimentary to the extended Engenda capability portfolio. The centre has a complex 30 metre multi directional confined space training facility, height mast and climbing walls, mock refinery distillation column, flange integrity rigs and lifting equipment.
Training is also made available to third parties and to client personnel. The column mock up is of particular interest to refinery inspection personnel who can undergo confined space training in an actual column and undergo training in the safe passage through the length of a trayed vessel.
Some of the more specialist training provided by Engenda encompasses the like of :-
