Design Operations Manager, Humber Bank Region

About the role:

Reporting to the Managing Director the Design Operations Manager will be responsible for establishing a new division of a well-respected EPC contractor.  The role will involve the management of multi-disciplinary projects from Estimating, FEED, through to detailed Design, Procurement and Construction.

An initial client base already exists through a subsidiary organisation who are a specialist contractor and this role will be required to build and develop those, plus new, relationships further.

A key objective for the role will be to establish and grow a team of design professionals in the disciplines of mechanical and piping, electrical and instrumentation, civil and structural and process engineering

What you will need:

A design background ideally in one of the disciplines mentioned above

A background working for a EPC/EPCm company , a top tier chemical company, or a design engineering company

Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams and ability to manage cross functionality

Commercial acumen and experience of budget management

Knowledge of standards and procedures in engineering, safety and national legislation

Ideally a member of a professional institute
